Studio Koi Koi Update Q1 2024

Hi all,

I wanted to provide a status update for Studio Koi Koi! As our community, you deserve to know what we’re thinking about, what our priorities are, and what we’re working on and thinking about.

Major initiatives during this last 3 months

Internal techniques and technology improvements

As players, you don’t really care about the technology we use behind the scenes. However, we’ve made improvements to the ways were making games which is impactful.

Analytics and metrics driven improvements

We’ve seen a rise in engagement in Ragdoll Sim and Boxing! This has been pretty awesome to see. We’ve also been focusing on monetization improvements, and we’re now trying to increase conversion rate in Boxing. We’ve also been investing in our telemetry stack, which allows us to capture health of the servers and any performance decrease in our servers.

Analytics like the total number of servers, FPS, and other metrics allow us to determine quickly if stuff is broken or not when releasing a new game.

We’ve also seen a few our our games increase in player count as Roblox shifts its algorithm and finds the right audience for these games.

We haven’t really touched this drone game in years, but it’s got 50-100 players in it now.

What’s next!

The current projects are a work-in-progress and have been developing over the course of this quarter.

As a studio our goal is to make artistically interesting games, and also to create prosperity for our studio team members.
