I wanted to provide a status update for Studio Koi Koi! As our community, you deserve to know what we’re thinking about, what our priorities are, and what we’re working on and thinking about.
Major initiatives during this last 3 months
Incorporation - Finished up incorporation and setting up payroll. This lets us scale in a more sustainable way.
Hiring Unroot - We’ve hired unroot and brought him onto the team! Tyler’s been highly impact, increasing play time by 2 minutes in Ragdoll Sim, and providing key UI design and feedback to the team
DAZN integration - We’re bringing real life boxing clips and content into
Skyrise Map in Boxing Beta - Added skyrise map to Boxing Beta
**Public Boxing Private Servers -**We’ve rapidly increased the amount of creativity allowed as we allowed users to publish private servers in-game. This has been a year in the making, as we had plans for this a long time ago.
Placement system improvements - We’ve been ramping up improvements to placement system
Ragdoll Sim Updates - Historically Ragdoll Sim has created a lot of stability for our game studio, and been well loved by players. We consolidated the map and fixed a lot of bugs.
Boxing Anime Alpha Release - We’ve soft released Boxing Alpha which has small traction. This project was consuming a lot of engineering resources and so we’re monitoring it now.
Internal techniques and technology improvements
As players, you don’t really care about the technology we use behind the scenes. However, we’ve made improvements to the ways were making games which is impactful.
Underwater Lighting Technology - As seen in the Coral Island Showcase
Sound Group Support - Added ability to adjust sound groups specifically and apply sound effects to sounds in games easily
Placement System is Reusable - The building system in Boxing Beta is reusable and we plan to use it in other games
Avatar Body Skinning - We’ve developed internal knowledge of how to rig avatars
Rojo upgrade - We maintain a custom version of rojo, which is a build system for Roblox. We’ve upgraded to mirror Roblox’s
Depth of field improvements - The way we interacted with depth of field used to be prone to bugging out. No longer!
Vehicle Respawning Logic - Vehicles no longer can infinitely spawn in Ragdoll Sim, or across other games we have
Reduced traffic - Reduced network traffic to our website, saving out egress costs
Analytics and metrics driven improvements
We’ve seen a rise in engagement in Ragdoll Sim and Boxing! This has been pretty awesome to see. We’ve also been focusing on monetization improvements, and we’re now trying to increase conversion rate in Boxing. We’ve also been investing in our telemetry stack, which allows us to capture health of the servers and any performance decrease in our servers.
We’ve also seen a few our our games increase in player count as Roblox shifts its algorithm and finds the right audience for these games.

The current projects are a work-in-progress and have been developing over the course of this quarter.
Avatar editor integration - Adding a general avatar editor into private servers and other games to allow for unique character customization!
Boxing Beta Season 3 - Season 3 adjustments coming soon!
Additional placement improvements - Building system is pretty fundamental to our games
Merch Shop - We’re trying to integrate a physical shop into our website! Stay tuned!
WFYB 2 - Light development has started on WFYB 2
As a studio our goal is to make artistically interesting games, and also to create prosperity for our studio team members.
